Pulmonary/Critical Care Fellowship

The Pulmonary/Critical Care Fellowship is a full-time, 36-month training program that includes didactic learning, patient care training and procedural training. Ambulatory experiences are structured, supervised, and adequate to develop skills in ambulatory patient management in a continuity of care environment. The Continuity Clinic is adjacent to the hospital with supervision by the Program Director and faculty. Fellows develop their own patient panels and follow them throughout their training.

The Program Director works cohesively with core clinical faculty to structure an evidence-based comprehensive curriculum to facilitate competency in the Pulm/CC field. At all times, the fellow’s patient care activities are supervised, monitored, and evaluated by designated faculty. The Program Director keeps close contact with faculty and fellows to support, advise, and evaluate their progress.

Development of teaching skills will be an integral aspect of training, with teaching and supervisory responsibilities for junior fellows, residents, and medical students.
