Ryan Tingey Named Chief Executive Officer of Valley Hospital Medical Center

Ryan Tingey has been named the Chief Executive Officer for Valley Hospital Medical Center, a 306-bed tertiary care facility centrally located in the Las Vegas Medical District, effective February 17, 2025.
As the CEO, Tingey is responsible for all facets of management including strategic planning, business development and physician relations, along with overseeing finance, human resources and quality initiatives. Additionally, he has oversight from a licensure, regulatory and operational perspective of three freestanding emergency departments (FEDs) – Elite Medical Center near the Las Vegas Strip, the ER at North Las Vegas located at North Fifth Street and Rome and the ER at Desert Springs, which will open a replacement facility this summer. Each FED is an Extension of Valley Hospital Medical Center.
“Valley Hospital has a storied legacy of providing award-winning care for residents, athletes and tourists of southern Nevada for more than 50 years,” said Tingey. “Along with caring for our community, we’ve cared for patients from all over the world and athletes ranging from boxers to mixed martial artists to Formula 1 drivers.”
Tingey is especially enthusiastic about the advanced level of care available for cardiovascular, neurological and pulmonary services. “We offer cardiac surgery, brain surgery, and several life-saving pulmonary procedures, including robotic bronchoscopies for the detection of lung cancer, a valve system for the treatment of severe emphysema and ClotTriever® technology for the treatment of pulmonary embolisms.”
Both the neurology and pulmonary services are supported by residents and fellows of Valley Hospital’s Graduate Medical Education program which began in 2006 as an avenue to develop a pipeline of primary care and specialty physicians to remain in the community.
“Today, we have graduates who have established or joined successful practices, providing care for hospitalized patients throughout Southern Nevada and serve as program directors and faculty members in our program to educate the next generation of doctors,” said Tingey.
Before joining Valley Hospital, Tingey served as the Chief Operating Officer at Spring Valley and Henderson hospitals and as an Associate Administrator at Palmdale Regional Medical Center in California. Earlier in his career, he held a number of leadership positions of increasing responsibility with a health system in Houston, Texas.
Tingey earned his Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems from Brigham Young University and both a Master of Healthcare Administration and Master of Business Administration from the University of Minnesota.
He is board certified in healthcare management and is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE).
